Governance Committee
The members include President, President-Elect, immediate Past President and any Board members at-large appointed by the President. The Consulting Director serves as an ex-officio member. The Governance Committee is empowered to create the agenda for Board meetings; have emergency decision-making power and carry on the business of the Board whenever necessary between regular or special meetings of the Board and insures that all actions of the Board comply with the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association.

Membership Committee
Purpose of the Membership Committee is to identify MTC alumni, increase the membership of the Association and to create and provide benefits to its members and MTC.

Communications Committee
This Committee utilizes all appropriate means to educate, inform and connect alumni, friends, faculty, administrators, students and other constituencies of MTC with the Alumni Association.

Activities Committee
The Activities Committee implements initiatives of the Board that support the Association’s mission of service to alumni, students, faculty, and staff as well as MTC in general. The Activities Committee may oversee such subcommittees that include, but are not limited to:

- Awards Subcommittee - Ensures the ongoing recognition of outstanding achievements by alumni, students, faculty and friends of MTC.
- Community Outreach Subcommittee - Provides the vehicle by which alumni may be involved in the affairs of MTC; to provide fellowship; and, on occasion, assist in MTC fundraising and/or develop Board fundraisers.
- Legislative Advocacy Subcommittee -Organizes and/or actively participates in the on-going interaction between MTC and the Florida legislative bodies to ensure fair and adequate funding for MTC.
- Mentoring & Career Enhancement Subcommittee - Helps prepare alumni and students for obtaining employment or internships. Includes, but not limited to, activities such as one-on-one counseling, career seminars, networking events and job fairs.
- Recruitment Subcommittee - Spreads the word about the importance of an MTC education to all residents of Manatee County through college fairs as well as one-on-one recruitment.
- Special Events Subcommittee - Involves alumni in the organization and facilitation of special Association and/or MTC events including, but not limited to: SkillUSA/HOSA (OTCS) fundraising initiative; groundbreaking ceremonies; ribbon cuttings; anniversary celebrations; commencement ceremonies; chili-cook-off, Tour of Kitchens, Manatee County Fair .
